Personal development (voluntary)
September 2005 - now Member of the committee preparing the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of student' orchestra QHarmony. Special task: get in touch with all the previous members of the club (120+) and try to get them together for a special day.
September 2005 - now Treasurer and co-founder of the association 'Changes': a group of young musicians (all aging below 25). Our goal is to perform well known pop music in a non-standard way e.g. by bridging it with classical songs at a non-standard site: a local, very old church.
First concert at the 19th of November 2005: sold out completely (450 visitors), two newspaper articles and visitors very happy with the show (inquiry at website). Second concert at the 2dn of June 2007: about 350 visitors and very much compliments personally and at website.
September 2004 - September 2005 Member of the student's council (USR). This meant regular meetings with the University Board and frequent congregations with committees.
September 2004 - September 2005 During this year of college I was commissioner for ICT and PR related tasks at the law students' association (JFV: www.jfvnijmegen.nl).
September 2003 - September 2004 During this year of college I was the chairman of the committee for students of the "Law & Management programme" of the law students' association (JFV: www.jfvnijmegen.nl). Besides managing this committee, I also managed the website of the JFV and helped with several ICT-related questions.
July 2002 - July 2005 Member of the board of the student's orchestra QHarmony. I've been the treasurer for a few months, but quickly became the chairman. Requires a broad overview of all pending issues and a short and long term strategic view. More information...
April 2002 - June 2004 Providing legal advice to people in easy cases (Dutch: wetswinkel or rechtswinkel). This means seeing the people during consulting hour (once a week) and providing advice immediately or the next week. Requires finding out what are the relevant facts and communicating with people with no knowledge about legal issues.
1999 - 2000 Chairman of the Dutch e-zine called SupportZine. This e-zine helped our subscribers with various computer related problems. The answers and some other articles were published in the e-zine, which appeared once every two weeks. Learn more about this here.
1998 - 2001 Member of the co-administration Council of my high school. During the last years I was the chairman of the student's delegation. We've written a report about the usage of books, which you can read more about here.
